Social Metrics allows you to keep track of how many visitors have shared your posts using methods such as Facebook Likes, Re-Tweets, Google+ Votes, and more. This plugin comes in a free and premium version but unless your keeping track and wan’t to keep records of how many shares you gain per week or something you should be ok with the free version. I believe the pro version supports the same social networks with no additional networks but also allows you to export the data into excel spreadsheets and a few other small features.
When you install Social Metrics WordPress plugin you will have a new link on the admin bar labeled Social Metrics. When you click on that you will be brought to a page in your WordPress admin that lists all of your post and the number of each shares next to it. I will attach a screenshot below as-well of all the services it checks for you.
Currently Social Metrics supports all of the following social networks.
- Google+ Votes
- Facebook Likes
- Re-Tweets
- StumbleUpon Likes
- Digg Votes
- LinkedIn Shares
You can download Social Metrics and install it manually or you can install the WordPress plugin automatically by going to your WordPress admin > Plugins > Add New and searching for “Social Metrics”. I hope you enjoyed this post about a nice little plugin. Many more posts are still on the way so please don’t forget to share/like/subscribe, thank!
